Personal Trainer in Riverview, FL
I live here. Riverview is where I am based, where most of the people I train are, and the place I can get to fastest — which in practice means I can do the awkward hours. Six in the morning before work, or eight at night once the house is quiet, without a forty-minute drive deciding whether it is worth it.
I come to you. Your home, your garage, a park, or the gym you already pay for — and there is no travel fee anywhere in Riverview. You do not need a membership, and you do not need to buy equipment before we start.
Start with a free 20-minute call
No cost, no card, no pitch. You tell me what you are after and what hurts, and I tell you honestly whether I am the right person for it — and if I am not, where to go instead.

- Your house. Most of my Riverview clients train at home, and it needs far less room than people expect — the space a yoga mat takes plus arm's length around it. I bring bands and a few light weights, so there is nothing to buy before you start.
- Wherever you already go. If you drive to a gym, I will meet you there rather than talk you out of it.
- A park. Good for calisthenics and conditioning, and free. If you are chasing a pull-up or a muscle-up, a bar outdoors beats a machine indoors.
- Your own gym. If you already pay for one, we use it. I am not going to sell you a second place to train.
The six o'clock slot
The practical advantage of living here is that I can do the hours nobody else will. A trainer driving in from across the county has to make a 6am session worth the drive; I do not, so the early slot is genuinely available rather than theoretically available.
It matters more than it sounds. The single biggest reason people stop training is not effort or soreness — it is that the session keeps losing to something. Work runs late. A kid needs collecting. Something comes up at six in the evening almost every week, and almost nothing comes up at six in the morning. If you have failed at evening training twice already, the answer is usually not more discipline. It is a different hour.
Weekends are the same story. I keep Saturday and Sunday mornings free, which for shift workers and anybody with a full week is the only slot that holds.
What it costs
Buying a block brings the per-session price down, from $45 to as low as $32. Every session in a block can be personal training, calisthenics or boxing — mix them week to week. The full breakdown is on the main page.
When I train people
Weekday mornings from 6am right through the evening, and weekend mornings. The booking page always shows the times that are actually free — what you see there is what is left.
Who is coaching you
I am John Beaunissant, NASM-certified, CPR and First Aid certified, and I was an athlete long before I was a coach — soccer, basketball, boxing, martial arts. I bench 315 pounds and hold a freestanding handstand, and I coach both ends of that, so when your goal changes you will not have to change trainers.
Four years ago a car hit me on the driver's side: bulging discs in my lower back and neck, ligament and cartilage damage in a knee. For months the only things I could train were biceps curls and leg extensions, and I designed my own way back from there. So when you tell me your back hurts or your knee will not let you run, I am not reading it out of a textbook. More about that here.
Common questions
Do you actually come to my house in Riverview?
Yes, and there is no travel fee — Riverview is where I am based. I bring what we need, we train wherever you have the room, and I am gone in an hour.
What if my place is small, or a mess?
Neither matters. I have trained people in living rooms with the coffee table pushed back, in garages with a car still in them, and in a spare room with boxes down one side. Nobody is inspecting your house.
How soon could we start?
Usually within the week. The first thing is a free 20-minute call so I can hear what you are after and tell you honestly whether I am the right person for it.
