Terms of Service
Last updated 1 September 2026
These are the terms you are agreeing to when you book or buy training with Beaunoir Fitness — that is me, John Beaunissant, working on my own out of Riverview, Florida.
I have written them the way I would explain them to you in person. The point is that nothing here surprises you later.
Before we train
Everyone completes the health screening and waiver before their first session. Not paperwork for its own sake — I need to know about your heart, your medication, your injuries and who to call before I put a barbell in your hands. If anything on it changes, tell me.
If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or are recovering from something significant, get your doctor's clearance first. I am a personal trainer, not a doctor or a physiotherapist. I do not diagnose or treat anything.
Booking a session
Book online, by text, or by asking me. A booking is confirmed when you get the confirmation email — if the site says a request has been received rather than confirmed, it is not in the diary yet and I will come back to you.
Moving or cancelling
Give me 24 hours and it costs you nothing. Every confirmation and reminder email has a link that moves or cancels the session — you never need my permission or my reply.
Inside 24 hours, or not turning up, means the session counts as used. Not to punish you: that hour was held for you and cannot be given to anyone else at that notice.
I will always use judgement about genuine emergencies, illness and family. Tell me what happened. I have never charged anyone for a real crisis and I do not intend to start.
If I have to cancel
If I move a session, it never costs you anything and never comes off your package. I will offer you something close to it as soon as I can.
Packages and sessions
Packages are bought as a block of sessions. Your remaining count is always visible on your own progress page — you never have to take my word for where you stand.
- A session comes off your block when it happens, not when it is booked. A cancelled session with proper notice gives it straight back.
- Pausing — travel, illness, a bad month at work. Tell me and we take those sessions out of the schedule and pick them back up. This is normal and I would rather you paused than quietly disappeared.
- Sharing — packages are for the person who bought them and cannot be transferred to somebody else without asking me first.
Paying
Payments are taken by Stripe or Square. Your card details go to them, never to me and never through this site.
Most packages can be split into instalments — a four-week block into two, six weeks into three, and so on. Just ask and I will set it up. If you are paying in instalments, the remaining instalments are still due for the block you have started.
Refunds
If you have bought a package and change your mind before we have trained, tell me and I will refund it.
Once we have started, I will refund the sessions you have not used, less the ones you have. If you are unhappy with the training itself, tell me before you write it off — most of the time it is something I can fix, and if I cannot, I would rather give your money back than have you stay.
Sessions counted as used through late cancellation or a no-show are not refundable.
Online coaching
Online coaching is a programme, a check-in and form review each cycle. It is coaching and feedback, not supervised training — you are responsible for training safely in your own space, with equipment in good order, and for stopping if something hurts.
What training involves
Physical training carries risk. That is true of every gym and every coach, and it is the honest reason the waiver exists. I will coach you carefully, scale things to what your body is doing that day, and change the plan when something is not right — but I cannot remove risk entirely.
Stop and tell me if something hurts. Sharp pain is information, not weakness. Nothing in your programme is worth an injury, and there is no session I would rather you pushed through.
The waiver you sign before your first session sets out the assumption of risk and release in full. Where these terms and that waiver differ on anything to do with risk, the waiver is the document that counts.
Results
I will not promise you a number on a scale or a date on a calendar. What I will do is give you a plan built for your body, adjust it as you go, and be straight with you about what is working. Results depend on what you do outside our sessions as much as inside them.
Anything you see on this site from other clients is their result, not a prediction of yours.
Photos and video
I only use photos or video of you if you ticked yes on the waiver. You can change your mind at any time and I will stop. See the Privacy Policy for what I do with everything else.
Behaviour
I train people in gyms, parks and their homes. I expect basic respect for me, for other people in the space, and for the equipment. I reserve the right to end a session or a working relationship over abusive behaviour, turning up intoxicated, or anything that makes training unsafe. In that case I refund unused sessions.
Your private links
Your progress page, check-in and booking links carry a code unique to you. Anyone holding the link can see your training records, so do not post them publicly. Tell me if one goes astray and I will issue a new one.
The legal bits
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. If part of them turned out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.
I may update these terms; the date at the top says when. Changes apply to bookings made after that date, and I will tell my clients directly rather than expect anyone to re-read this page.

If something here does not sit right with you, say so before you book rather than after. I would much rather have the conversation.
